This section will go over how to stitch together a BAM with glue and tape.
- Make sure to sweep the floor before making the BAM on the floor, so that no rocks or debris get caught underneath it and damage it.
- It’s best to make the bam without shoes on, so you don’t get it dirty. Print out both sides of the bam and lay on the ground facing up.
- Overlap them and line them up as best you can. Briefing maps usually have coordinates on them which you can use to line them up.
- You may need to fold one side over depending on how big the trailer you’re in is. Put glue on the bottom map.
- Smooth the top map over the glue.
- Let the glue dry.
- You’ll then need to flip it over so you can tape the back. This is most easily done very carefully, in sections.
- Once it’s flipped over, tape down in sections, making sure to reinforce the edges.
- Once it is taped, carefully roll the BAM up from the longest side, unless otherwise specified.
- Secure the BAM with two rubber bands – one at the top, one in the middle, and one at the bottom.
