“Plotting” refers to any document that is printed from the plotters. Documents should always be in PDF form in order to plot. This section will go over plotting PDFs.
Paper Sizes #

- Plotter loaded with 36in paper.

- Plotter loaded with 24in paper.
- Ensure the plotter has the correct size paper in it. Arch C can only be printed on 24in roll paper. Arch D can be printed on either 24in or 36in roll paper. Arch E can only be printed on 36in roll paper.
- Convert document into a PDF. For instructions on how to do this, see How to Convert to PDF. Open document and navigate to print dialogue. Select which plotter you’d like to use (Epson 1 or Epson 2). Select “Properties”.
Print Properties #

- In “Document Size” section, click “Settings”.

- Expand paper size dropdown menu in “Document Size” section.
- Hover over “US-ARCH” to expand paper size menu.
- Choose paper size from Arch C 18 x 24, Arch D 24 x 36, or Arch E 36 x 48. Make sure you select 36 a 48 for Arch E and NOT 30 x 42.
- Click OK.

- Back on the “Properties” menu, check or uncheck the box for “Print Preview”. Print preview is a helpful tool that allows you to see a preview of the map/document before it is printed to ensure everything looks correct. When printing multiple maps/documents, it can be faster to turn print preview off.
Print Settings #

- Back on the Print Dialogue, ensure that the size has registered correctly.
- Ensure the correct number of copies is selected.
- Under the “Page Size & Handling” section, make sure “Fit” is selected.
- Click “Print”.
