This section will go over how to roll maps or any plotted document.
- Make sure you are rolling the map so that the title is visible when rolled.
- Always roll the map/plotted document by the shortest side, unless otherwise specified.
- Stand holding the map/plotted document up by the corners.
- Flick your wrists and roll the edge of the map/plotted document under to start the roll.
- Let go with one hand and use your other hand to grab the map/plotted document to keep it from unrolling.
- Be careful not to hold on too tight to avoid creasing or bending the map/plotted document.
- Use both hands to roll the document up, making sure to gently push the sides in if tunnelling occurs.
- Roll as tightly as possible.

- Rubber band the map/plotted document and label it with a sticky note accordingly (pictured to left).
