How to Print Cardstock

This article will go over how to print cardstock.


Paper Settings #

Cardstock is thicker than regular paper. The paper size needs to be changed so the printer won’t jam.

  • Convert document to PDF. For a guide on how to convert to PDF, see How to Convert to PDF. Open document and navigate to print dialogue.
  • Select which printer you would like to print out of (Konica 1, 2, or 3).
  • Ensure all settings are correct (number of copies, double or single sided, etc.).
  • Click “Properties” then click “Paper Settings for Each Tray”.
  1. Under “Paper Type Settings”, scroll all the way down until you find “Bypass Tray” and click that.
  2. Use the dropdown menu under “Paper Type” and choose “Thick 4”.
  3. Click “OK”.

Paper Tray #

Cardstock should only be printed out of the Bypass Tray.

  • Back on the “Properties” page, choose “Bypass Tray” from the “Paper Tray” dropdown. The “Paper Type” will automatically populate as “Thick 4”. Click “OK” and click “Print”.
