This section will go over how to make a PDF digitally singable. This is especially helpful when sending invoices to be signed by e-mail.
Prepare Form #
- Open the PDF you’d like to make digitally signable.
- Choose “Prepare Form” from the list of tools on the right-hand side.
- If you do not see this tool on the list, search it by using the “Search tools” box at the top of the list.
- Click “Start”.
Create Signature Field #

- Adobe will make any open space on the document signable. On the right-hand side, under “Page 1” in the “Fields” section, shift click all entries.
- Right click and click “delete”.
*You can change this setting for next time by clicking “Change” next to “Form field auto detection” on the “start” page.
- Right-click where you’d like the signature box to go and choose “Digital Signature”.
- Center and resize the digital signature box.
- Change the “Field Name” if necessary.
- Check the box for “Required Field”.
